Puja Study

Today after practice we started studying and preparing for the Losar puja. We will be performing a 5 day Dorje Drolo Sadhana which involves throwing a sor torma on the last day of the puja.
This for all practitioners is the most imporant practice of the year.

solar panel confusion

So it seems that the panel we thought was damaged is actually working perfectly well.
our solar guy says that it might be a wiring issue since we were using solid wire with crimp terminals instead of stranded wire. It seems the power will arch and lower the amperage quite a bit. We also have to move them to another location with better sun coverage.

Retreat Goes, and Solar Woes!

Last week we started a three week retreat where we practice 5-7, 9-11, 2-4, torma, then puja, dinner, then reading time.  It has been going well, but some of us caught a little bit of a cold.

The weather has been nice, and we have been able to get some sleding in!  

Yesterday we discovered that one of our solar panels was defective.  We also realized that during the whole winter we were not producing any power because of this one panel!

Fortunatly these fine Sharp panels have a 25 year warrenty.
